At Lauren and my school, Brighton Beach Primary School, it is very different to the schools in Texas. They are so much more laid back than we’re used to. Lauren got to have swimming lessons for two weeks during school with her class. We have to wear red and green uniforms. The choices for winter are sweat pants, a skirt with tights, a tunic*, and a few different types of jumpers*. For the summer it’s shorts, a summer tunic*, and we must wear a hat at recess. There isn’t a cafeteria, but they have a canteen run by the parents on Monday and Thursday. Canteen is where you can buy different things for lunch instead of bringing your own lunch. Even though we’ve only been in school for five weeks I’ve already been on two excursions*. Our class went to the Aquarium and the asparagus and cattle farm. It’s been fun so far!
