On this beautiful Saturday morning, we donned our colorful helmets and riding gear, packed our lunch on Ashley’s back and saddled up for a ride by the bay. Ashley led out, with Lauren trailing right behind, Justin peddled as fast as his legs could take him, and Megan steered and shouted orders from her seat in the back. As we rolled down the street, across the train tracks, and onto the Beach Road bike path we created quite a procession. After a few miles, we stopped for lunch at a picnic table overlooking Port Phillip Bay and the Sandringham Yacht Club. After feeding the seagulls we were off to the park and then headed down to the beach before saddling back up and riding back home. The ride home seemed long as we headed into the wind, but everyone made it.
